Default Deep rumble

How to obtain a deeper more agressive tone ?
Do I need a completley new exhaust system
Or just a new muffler..?
I does not have to be TO much louder than stock.. but lower more ballsy...
any advice..?

2013 Laramie 4x4 5.7 Hemi

thanks,
Leon

Hey Leon!

Nice to see the mod juices still flowin! I'll have to check out your lift thread to see if there are any updated photos of that beast!

There are a bunch of videos on here of guys that have changed their mufflers. Various stages of modifications too, such as headers, intakes, upgraded exhaust pipes and cans. I've listened to some and kinda like the deep, but not obnoxious, rumble of the 14" mufflers.

EDIT: Oh yeah, of importance in this discussion is the 5.7 HEMI EXHAUST sub-FORUM.

Check those out for a start.

Cheers Bro,

Var

I agree, the 14" mufflers Magnaflow and Flowmaster, someone will else will chime in.

Just stay away from one low enough to attain the brown note.

Greetings, I have a '05 Ram 1500 Daytona 4 x 4,5.7 Hemi. It has a stock Muffler system. It has a very nice deep rumble to it. Check into it for a great tone. One word of advice DO NOT start cutting up the stock system that you have. You will regret that that. Good luck with the rumble tone.

I have used the Hooker aeroturbine in the past and felt it had a very deep tone, no drone.

If they made a bolt in kit like 1. Solo, 2. Mufflex, 3. Cherry Bomb, I would buy it today.

For about $100 + $30 install you can get an 18" Magnaflow muffler. You'll get the ballsy note when you step on it and a reasonably quiet ride when you don't.
Of all the $100 bills I've dropped on my truck- this was the most satisfying and most immediately gratifying.

Any MDS drone with this setup?

Thanks,

I had a Flowmaster Super 44 on my old truck and I thought it sounded great. With this truck I wanted louder, louder, louder so I am running Flowmaster 10 series. It is loud, sets off car alarms when I drive by and I am sure it pisses the neighbors off.
