Default Warranty Choices

Ok,have the new truck, love it.Mpg is creating up to almost 16. Now the extended warranty. I'm looking at the chryslerfactorywarranty.com and the chryslerwarranty.com
Anyone have preference or thoughts? Looking for the unlimited.
I'm not usually an extended warranty buyer but there is too much stuff on this beauty that could go bad.

Shop around outside chrysler, you can get better coverage for less money. Wish I remebered the name, but my dad has his 3500 covered bumper to bumper with a $100 deductable unitl 150K. I think it cost him around $1600 up front.

That's the plan/price I'm taking with me (in my head), when my truck comes in to be picked up from the dealership. I'll be giving them a chance to price match it. I guess that's one of the good things having to wait so long for my truck to be built. I'm more prepared than ever to deal with the warranty, rustproofing, etc. person.

my dealer matched that price told them they were going to match it or cut me a check for that amount for me to buy it from that place.

I purchased mine through the dealer. The plan is through Zurich, bumper-to-bumper, 84months/100k miles. I paid $1986.

Wondering if i should cancel this one and get the Chrysler plan.

With all the electronics and the air suspension, I've been leaning towards getting an extended warranty. I checked out the price on getting an extended warranty on a brand new truck vs one that is 3 years old and it's not that great of a difference for the low amount of miles that I drive.

I think I'm going to wait until my bumper to bumper is about to expire before I pull the trigger on an extended warranty. If my truck has lots of problems, I won't be keeping it and will regret having bought an extended warranty up front. If my truck seems to be a bullet proof tank, I'll take the chance of "buying" the extended warranty from myself.

If you look at your current paperwork
You will likely notice that you have a 2nd warranty other then the Factory Warranty

Mine came with the Factory Warranty & a 7 year/*******mile Warranty

I decided to get the Chrysler Lifetime Warranty before my '09 reached 36,000 mile/ 3 year mark

The way it works is
You turn in what is left of the 2nd warranty, they call it cancelling the warranty
They Pro Rate what is left on that 2nd warranty
They then open up the new Warranty that you have decided on, it cost XXXX amount of dollars
The Pro Rated amount is then subtracted from the cost of the new Warranty
Then you pay the difference in payments or another method

so it works like this
XXXX.xx
- pro rating
---------------
XXX. your cost

I ended up paying only $1100. for my Lifetime Warranty & i turned my old warranty in at 34000 miles

Does anyone know the difference between http://www.chryslerfactoryplans.com/default.aspx and http://www.chryslerwarrantys.com/

I really don't know what to do about my Zurich plan and thinking I may switch to one of these since they are from Chrysler. Any thoughts?
