Glad that in the end it worked out for you, but you shouldn't have to go through all those problems......

Supposedly they have different trannys too.
Does anyone know the difference between the RT trans and a stock one?
The trans is the same as a regular ram, 2009-2011 RAM R/T's have the 545RFE and 2012+ RAM R/T's have the 65RFE, which is the same exact thing as the 545RFE but the 65RFE has an alternate second gear it can choose for better acceleration when passing. The only difference between a regular RAM trans and a RAM R/T trans is the torque converter. I've read somewhere that the valve bodys in an R/T are slightly different for harder shifting but after having mine apart I saw no difference at all. Plus the valve body's in an RFE trans have pretty much nothing to do with shifting, thats all done by the solenoid pack.

Another fun fact...the "special" R/T torque converter is just matched to the 4.10 rear axle. A 2600 stall torque converter with a 4.10 axle is the equivalent to a 2100 stall torque converter with a 3.55 axle (not sure if I have the stall speeds correct but you get the picture.) That "special" torque converter is also used in some new grand cherokees and durangos since they also use the 65RFE. I was kind of disappointed to find that out...but whatever.
