Default ECM flash update?

Guy in 2013 forum said he just had flash update and it really helped his truck. I thought I remember seeing someone here saying there is a update for the 2012's. But I couldn't find anything, so anyone know for sure.

I went in today and asked about the flash, there was two updates one was for the heater control module and one was for the PCM-Powertrain control module. The guy wasn't sure what the update did just that it was a software update. I didn't notice anything different with the mds but will moniter. FYI the update numbers are:HCM 08-019-12, PCM 21-014-11

Well my truck was built January of 2012 so it's not going to help me. I was hoping for an update just to see how the truck would handle differently. I truck really loves mds and it sometimes gets annoying. It seems like it will go into mds a lot sooner and hold longer than than my buddies truck which was built a month after mine. I however really only noticed this after new exhaust and a drop in k&n filter.

Hey guys,

Does anyone know if a dealership will disable that annoying MDS crap they put on our 2012 RAM? I can't stand the constant shifting, while I'm driving in traffic or through down town.

I read in another thread, suggesting I can do it myself, using a programming tool, but the cheapest I found was $500 (the DiabloSport). I can't justify making that purchase, just to turn off one feature.

Please advise.

In town or traffic, just don't use Drive
MDS only works in Drive
Once on the open road, use Drive
