Default interior cover use??

hey all..

there's a free cover in my truck above the e-brake release..
is there something that would normally go there? an option that i don't have..
i can feel two "side-push" clips on the top rear of it for removal but can't seem to get a handle on anything on the lower end to pop it out, i'm assuming this cover probably holds the e-brake cover/support??

thanx

i don't have a new Ram or 4x4

you may try unsnapping the side panel, the one that you can get to with the door open.
i would spend $6 to buy a plastic trim tool, you can get them at almost every auto parts store, a screw driver would work but you could damage the plastic.

Once the side cover is off, you should see a screw that holds the other panel on

good luck

Big Red 1 is on a distinguished road

If you have the 8 speed transmission, the manual neutral lever is behind that panel. I was reading my owners maunal the other night and it explained everything. If your battery dies and the truck is in park, being an electric shift transmission, there is no way to shift it into neutral if it needed to be towed. Behind that panel is the lever to manually shift it into neutral.

thanx Big Red 1

i was able to get the cover off and it looks like i might just have room for my switches (no 8-speed)
