Default Underhood light no worky?

My underhood light didn't work when I bought my truck. The dealer put a new bulb in and it still didn't work, so he ordered a complete light fixture, which also doesn't work. I've checked the fuse (m42 10 amp red) according to the owners manual. That seems to be fine.
Anybody got any ideas? Seems nuts to schedule a service appointment if it's just some dinky little problem.

Thanks,
Oak

Check and make sure it's plugged in.

Since I'm new here, I just wanted to take a moment to say how much I appreciate the above reply to my question. I sincerely doubt that I ever would have thought to be sure that my underhood light was actually plugged in.
Obviously, some of the greatest minds to ever have even looked at a Ram truck contribute to this forum.

Thanks for taking the time to reply,
Oak

Have you tried checking voltage to the connector with an ohmeter? You should have battery voltage up to there. If you do, then there is an open in your harness to the hood light assembly.

Thanks Gantman,
I'll check for battery voltage tomorrow when the rain stops. If it doesn't stop, I'll just run it in to the dealer Tuesday am. and let them fix it.

Just got back from the dealer. There was a poor pin at connector C210. That was repaired and the lamp assembly replaced. All is good now.
