I will say that the Mufflex is pretty close to 3 bills but It's not junk if it's got a magnaflow muff on it, whether welded or clamped. And congrats RamCharger: welcome to the "Ball and Chain" Club! Hahaha! No serious though, Best Wishes bud!

I have the 18" Magnaflow welded in. And I have a five week old baby that sleeps like a log when in the truck. Its pretty funny. While the truck is moving, he's quiet. Whenever I stop at a light or something, he starts to get restless. I love that kid. lol

My only decision now is whether or not to go with the Mufflex or just buy a 18" maggie and weld it in. I have a few weeks to think about what I am going to do.

Regardless, I will be getting an 18" maggie, and will post a video after I get it installed. Thanks again everyone! I truly appreciate everything!
I'd personally go with the Maggie as its cheaper and welding last forever (not knocking clamps) as clamps at times may work lose.

Just my personal opinion. We carry both, so its obvious to try and recommend the higher $$ amount, but I would do the Maggie 18"

If you get the Mufflex you're paying a premium just because it's DIY. It's in no way different from having the muffler welded in, the results will be the same. Why spend close to $300 to be on your back for an hour when you could spend less than $200 and sit in a muffler shop waiting room for 20 minutes and have it welded in??? I prefer to work on my own truck when I can and get a sense of pride and accomplishment when I do but the above is just common sense and a good way to save some money. No matter what you choose I think you'll be happy with the 18"

My 6 month old is the exact same way. Has no problems sleeping on the road but when you stop boy does he get pissed.

Cool thank you everyone! I appreciate the replies! It's nice to know that the kids can sleep so soundly with the 18" maggie! It must be the soothing sound of the muffler... lol!

Gantman, thank you for the best wishes! Greatly appreciated!

The only issues with the mufflex system is price and the possibility of the bolts seizing up after it gets a few years of age on it. Exhaust bolts & nuts can be a pita with age. There are other options out there that sound like the Magnaflows. Our Forum vendor BSM Exhaust works sells great mufflers at very low prices. Great seller, you should check them out. Save some money. I have 115 bucks total in my muffler and it will last as long as the rest of the exhaust will.
