That's the # for the jet hemi 180' stat. It's the best and made of stainless steel. Most parts houses carry Chinese junk brands. I bought my jet on eBay for 36.00 shipped

when you are looking at your engine compartment, it will be to your left, follow the coolant pipe down to the engine. i think it was held in by 2 bolts. give yourself 20mins to do the job. after you do it once, its a 5min job.

hopefully someone will chime in to give you a better description of where it's at.

Thanks! Seems fairly straight forward. i'm assuming you have to drain and top off the coolant?

This I will do soon. I had it on my 2011 4.7 and honestly it made a difference.

Some claim it's a performance booster, some claim it will extend the life of your engine. The only real need is for someone with a heavily modded engine. It simply starts the cooling process a little earlier by opening up @ 180 degrees instead of 195 or whatever the stock one is. I've never seen any data to support claims either way of longevity or performance. Stock air set-up is already pulls air from the fenderwell, so any claims of under the hood temps being lower are just plain wrong. It is however an excellent way to start an argument!
