Default Install on 2010 1500

Just installed a set of bags on my 2010 1500. I purchased them from a buddy who removed from his truck before he sold it. I did the install and all went well however on the driver side the bag is resting on the mount for what I think is the torsion bar. I'm worried it will wear on the bag and eventually wear through it. Should I be concerned with this and if so what can I do? I don't see any ability to adjust the bag away from the mount. See attached picture. I also notice the top plates hitting the bump stop when I go over bumps even with air in the bags. Can anything be done about this? I've read that there may have been a design change that has something in there to prevent that from happening, is that correct? Thanks.

I've played around with the air pressure and can't find a low enough pressure to stop the brackets from banging when driving over bumps while still keeping the truck back end at a decent height and without the back end bouncing too much. This is without the trailer attached of course. Has anyone tried using a bolt instead of the stud and just using washers as spacers instead of the nut on the stud to reduce the gap between the top plate and brackets that close it around the bump stop collar? Any potential issue with this that I'm not thinking of?

Edit - after looking at the pictures on line a little more closely it looks like I have an older version that uses the stud with the nut fixed to it that screws into the top plate. This is creating a large gap and is where the extra play is coming from. So I guess my options are either get new top plates that have the redesigned bolt and bolt holes or try the option I've suggested above with a bolt from the top through the bump stop clamps with washer spacers and secured into the top plate.

Any thoughts?

He took a look at the pic but it's hard to see the situation.

Thx

I never received a response from TLC so I decided to try out my suggestion on my own. It worked by just using a bolt with washers as spacers but I had a problem removing one of the studs first. They are pretty soft metal and one sheared off trying to remove it. When I extracted the broken portion of the stud some of the threads were damaged in the plate so now only 3 of the 4 bolts will tighten. I need a new plate for one of the bags. I still haven't been able to adjust the one bags so it isn't rubbing though. I would appreciate some communication from TLC to help get things resolved. Seems like a good product but the support is lacking big time.

Everything is installed so it's hard to get pictures. I have one bag that's got one collar tightened with one bolt only. Also how do you release the air lines from the fittings?

The fittings are quick release. Push down on the rim of the fitting while pulling on the hose simultaneously. itll take some work if they have been in there awhile.
