Default Rattling and Sagging

Hello all,

I have a 1996 Dodge 1500. The left rear side looks to be sagging a bit so i just assumed a cracked spring (Fix?). When it gets up to around 70 mph it begins to shake a little bit, could this attribute to that? I took a look and the bottom spring (not attached at ends) is kind of cockeyed; could this be why it is sagging? What can I do to fix this?

Also, whenever I hit a bump, it sounds like there is a chain dragging and shaking under my truck. Has anyone else heard this before? I looked and can't seem to find the root of the sound. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!!

If it was mine, I'd try to get it on a 4 wheel alignment machine that can support truck and remove load from suspension. Should be easy to find and replace the broken spring. My dealer will diagnose problems on the machine and not charge me until I fix it. Can't do an alignment till it's fixed. Easy to diagnose all suspension faults on that machine. If I need parts, I'll order and bring it back for repair, or if easy, do myself.

Alright thanks! I am going to lift it 5" here soon, is there a place you know of for a 2" leaf kit so I can just replace the leaves completely and add a 3" block? If I'm going to have to fix them, I just want to replace them completely and get the new lift. I am replacing the front springs, so why not all?

Not an expert on lift kits, but when my truck was new, I had the dealer add an extra leaf, then we turned up the front torsion bars. Effectively gave me a 2 inch lift and more weight capacity. It was very cheap to do. I guess, I'd check out some of the 4X4 magazines and see what's available for your truck, check out any local shops that do lifts on trucks as well, even if you plan on doing it yourself.

Can't exactly do the Torsion Bars on my 2nd gen haha. I was pretty bummed about that. But thanks again for the suggestions.
