Default 32 Gal. Fuel Tank

I saw a few comments some where on the forum about problems with the 32 gallon tank but i cannot seem find the thread right now.

Are there problems with the 32 gallon tank with "sloshing"? Was it an early problem that has been corrected?

Thanks!

I'd be surprised if they planned on fixing it. It seems to annoy some folks more than others. It only seems to do it when the truck is between 3/4 and Full. I actually kind of like it...sorta gives it personality. I don't even notice it most of the time.

Do a web search and you'll find this is a perceived problem with a lot of different cars, hondas, accuras, mercedes, gm, dodge...

These guys even came up with a gimmick to solve the "problem"

http://www.evomx.com/fuel-tank-foam-information/

I rarely notice it but some people really have their knickers in a knot over it. That's their privilege.

In my opinion it is just another noise not a mechanical problem.

There are no plans to fix it because not enough people have filed complaints about it and ram still fails to recognize it as an "official" issue

Wow, I haven't heard the saying in bold since living back home!

Anyway...

Your link is interesting but if you have a look at the item's price, it's absurd. We would need two orders of THIS, given our tank's size, which would run close to $250.00 delivered..... for pieces of cut up foam?!?!

Nonetheless, I agree with your closing remark.

I'll wait and see when my truck arrives and post my findings .. most of my driving is highway .. not too much in the city .. I may not feel the sensation as much.
