I don't believe it's an issue with the regular sized tank.

At the least I have not seen anyone here posts about it.

I felt a thud a couple times in town the other day couldnt tell if it was the gas tank which was 3/4 full or the wind. Usually with the wind though you can feel the wind continuously hit the vehicle afterwards

I think the linked thread pretty much answered my question. The conclusion I came to is go with the 26 gal. tank if you have a choice. Otherwise try disabling hill assist or just get used to the thump if one is noticed.

Like always, everyone's input is valued.

I had the same issue with my 2009 Big Horn CC that I started a thread on here about a year or so ago. I just took delivery Friday of a 2013 Sport CC, but before I did, I made it abundantly clear to the salesman that a 32 gallon tank was a deal breaker for me. My "fuel slap" experience was horribly annoying not only for me, but my passengers as well. Didn't matter who I hauled when it was happening or if they were passengers multiple times...I repeatedly got asked "what was that?" or "why does it do that?" or "how can you put up with that?" It also didn't matter how fast or slow I came to a stop...glad I don't have to deal with it anymore!

I have the 32 gallon and am thrilled. I had a 2011 F-250 Super Duty and it only had a 24 gallon tank. As much as I drive I was about to drop $1250 on an aftermarket tank I was so annoyed.

So I will take a little slosh to not have to stop all the time

i have the larger tank also & between 1/2 to 3/4 of a tank, i do feel it
After the first few times, it bothered me less & less
When i leave on a long distance job, i fill my factory tank, my 30 gallon auxiliary tank, & three 6 gallon plastic gas cans
When i enter Canada, i leave the 3 gas cans at home, the Border guys won't let you enter Canada with them, they don't care whether they are full or empty either

I have the 32 as well and I have noticed an occational lurch after coming to a stop (and usually only on abrupt ones) but its nothing I've ever felt was too extreme. I don't mind dealing with it, its a small price to pay. I like only having to hit the gas station every 2 1/2 weeks or so especially since gas is so high in my area.

I have the 32 gallon tank and have never felt it. Granted I've only had the truck a few weeks, but in 1000 miles I've never felt it.

I've always had cars, trucks rattle, bang, and clunk so much compared to my last few cars that I doubt I'd notice one more little "thud".

Unrelated but thanks for the info was just about to do a google search. I will be crossing the border into Canada for a hunt and was curious about if I could take my emergency gas cans.
