Default 12V Switched power under hood 2013

I looking for a easy solution to tap into 12V switched power under the hood. less than 1 amp but this will drive a relay so dont what something real senstive to the coil flyback spike. damaging computer could be really expensive (no I dont want to add a relay suppersion circuit).

I have seen many peps post similar threads but seen no solutions. I dont want to pull my fuse book apart. I really hate to cut into wires and hack a brand new truck.

I can see may people in this fourm would appericated to easy to implement solutions.

My only solution to you right now, would be to use a fuse tap. I haven't really looked at the fuse panel yet, as I am waiting to install things after I get a tool box.(should probably plan ahead a little more). I know the 12 v power outlet shuts off after the truck is off. I love fuse taps especially for relays.

What nice about these trucks is the ground is in a nice spot to add onto it.

What I did on my 2012 was find a keyed power source under the dash (I think I used the one that went to my 4wd control) and ran that wire back into the engine compartment to my relay set up. Then the relays just get constant power from the bolt on the fuse block. I wasn't able to find switched power under the hood without taking harnesses and such apart which I didn't want to do.
