Default Mopar Lift Kits

I've been looking at lift kits and looking for one that wont give my warranty any issues so i was told they make a mopar 3' lift kit for the 2010 ram 1500. Does anybody know of this kit and how it looks and feels and cost? also looking for opinions on other lift kits thanks!

I believe the Mopar lift kit is a 4" re-branded Skyjacker kit. As long as you have the dealer install it you shouldn't have any warranty issues. But it is going to cost you a TON more than doing it yourself. I would guess around triple the cost of buying a Rough Country kit and installing it yourself. So it really depends on what you want to spend.

Tons of guys on this forum run the RCX lift. For the price you can't really beat it. And if you are going to do a lift go 6". It's only $150 and you'll end up kicking yourself down the road if you only go for a 4". Plus with Rough Country the 4" uses coil spacers on the back which I am not a huge fan of at all. The 6" kit gives you brand new springs.

Time for me to chime in on this one since I actually have experience here (specifically with Chrysler).

As stated Chrysler does not make their own lift kits, they repackage (sometimes re sticker) aftermarket kits. Chrysler WILL NOT honor the warranty on any lift kit reguardless who sold/makes it, even if purchased from them. Here is how this works.

You buy the "MOPAR" kit from the dealer (Skyjacker, Rancho, ProComp, etc) at a GREATLY marked up price. The dealer installs it at a GREATLY marked up price. What you get is the dealer going to bat for you with the manufacturer if you have issues. This does carry some weight, but you can do the same. Your warranty for the parts replaced and any part failed directly due to the lift is void (not your entire warranty) and should be picked up by the lift manufacturer.

You buy name brand kit and have it installed at your favorite shop, expensive, but not as much as the dealer. The shop should back their work and help with manufacturers warranty if you have issues. Your factory warranty is void for any parts that are replaced and anything failed directly related to the lift, the lift manufactuer should pick up warranty.

You buy name brand kit where ever you can get the best deal, install it yourself following the provided instructions. If you have issues you contact the manufacturer and work out the details with them. Your factory warranty is void for the parts replaced and any failures directly related to the lift. The lift manufacturer should cover any issues.

Bottom line is buying the MOPAR lift is just buying the aftermarket lift at an increased cost (in some cases 300-800% markup) and affects your factory warranty the same as any other lift, installed by anyone else. If you have a great dealership, then they may take into account that you just paid for the owners vacation and go to bat for you, but thats about it.

Buy the lift you want, install it yourself or find a shop you trust to install it and be happy. When your dealship tries to tell you that it will void your warranty then point them to the Magnuson-Moss act and call them on their lie. Remind them the burden of proof lies on them and that they must document it in detail and you can have any reputable shop do the same and if they disagree then you have grounds to take legal action.

Go 6" for sure. Like I said above it's only $150 more for the RCX 6" over the 4" kit and you'll regret it if you don't.

I can tell you the cost on the 4" mopar lift. I saw a 2013 lone star cc on the showroom floor when I was at the dealer I got my truck from yesterday. Window sticker for adding the 4" Mopar lift with install was $4500. Guessing any other dealer would set you back about the same.
