I cancelled my order today the biggest disappointment is that I was gunna trade my tacoma in and the dealer was giving me almost what I paid for it in 2010. The ram I had on order was fully loaded slt 2 door short bed 4x4 with the u connect 8.4 , back up camera ,alpine,LSD,deluxe cloth,big horn, 20" wheels ,penta star but I'm not waiting till the 2014 model comes out.by that time my trade will have another 10,000 miles on it

If that happens with my trade-in, the dealership is going to eat all the extra miles. I'm still getting the trade in value that has been agreed upon, regardless when my 2013 Ram 1500 shows up at the dealership.

I would really like to ... but at this point, with orders due April 23rd (or so I am being told) ... that gives an order window of what, 11 days now? The 8speed delays are due to problems with machinery. They are just having problems getting the production and assembly line running smoothly.

Chrysler jumped the gun on this one. Originally Allpar predicted Hemi 8 speeds weren't suposed to be out till Nov...now they'll have to eat dirt. I've been eying a 2013 for around that date for a chance at a better deal anyway but I'm not sold on it yet. I don't like the options they give you with the Express or the RT. I want a 4.10 gear with the eight speed RT a must and so if there's no option for it I'm passing. Not sure what gears you guys got with the eight speed but I see no 3.92/Express with the eight speed or no eight speed with the RT/4.10....as of today. As a matter of fact I don't like the choice of interior colors, what's up with that same old gray...I've grown tired of gray. Has any of you with the hemi eight speed got a 3.92 gear?

They gave me the same line about the incentives.getting a 2013 when the 2014 are coming out isn't gunna work. My dealer was talking to the factory rep and there was no date I hope it works for ya. And to ask consumers to take a hemi with a 6 speed in place of the v6 with the 8 speed is kinda ballesy when the ones in the lot have 8 speeds.the purpose of ordering is to actually get what you want not what dodge decides you want

Not sure if I understand you correctly but dealer is going to tell you what ever benifits him. I doubt that will be the case because it will make it hard for them to get rid of the remaining 13's when the 14's hit the lot. You just have to make sure you will still have time to order a 13 when the time comes. Not sure when they will stop production on them...what month?

Does any of you with the hemi eight speed have a 3.92 gear or try to get one to no avail? I'm thinking that the low first gear ratio in the eight speed is effecting the availability?

My plant contacts are telling me that production on the '13 stops on 7/6, with the 2 week shutdown/changeover lasting from 7/8-7/22. MY14 launch starts 7/22.

As for ordering, Donlen is showing 4/30/13 as the final date for ordering a '13 and 6/5/13 as the first day to order a '14.

As always, these dates may change.

Disclosure- I work for a Chrysler supplier and I'm in Warren Truck Assembly Plant on a regular basis.

I have an 8speed Hemi with 3.92 gears.
