Default Wiring in accessories

I need to avoid having cables from my TPMS, GPS, and trailer backup camera all going to 12v plug adapters in my dash. Too messy and tangled. I'd like to wire in permanently a 12v socket with 3 outlets on top of the dash where it's flat and then be able to plug in those items when needed.

Any suggestions?

Why can't you hard wire them under the dash and eliminate all the cables?

Default How?

I don't have a clue what I'm looking at under the dash. I can't see how the wires get to the 12v socket on the left of the Uconnect console.

Quite the Charlie Foxtrot (Cluster F*ck) under there, I know. The best way, not always the easiest way, would be to run a wire directly off the battery, in to the cab (with a fusible link) and up to where you want the 3 way to sit.

Is there anything in the Aux power distribution center, or main PDC that I could connect to. Not sure I want to just connect right to the battery. Also since I'm plugging in everything to the dash 12v socket now, if I could find that wire in the dash, that would work.

I don't know about yours... But there is an access hatch on the driver side right on the side of the storage bin of the console. It's a triangle piece. I took mine out and I can see the back of the 12v cig plug.
If I were you, I'd wire in another 12v socket and run the wire up behind the stereo to the RAM bin at the top of the dash. Under the bin, there are two holes that are fairly large that you can run cables down through.
Check out my post about running my wire for my cell phone...

Default This may help

I looked through your other thread and it looks promising. I'll look at my dash and see about getting access in the 2014 to see if I can. The 2014 Ram 3500 Laramie has the 8.3 Uconnect and in my case I have the 6 passenger version, so I have no console, just a fold down arm rest with all the USB and SD card media stuff inside a smaller console.

Oh whopsie... I forgot that not all of us have that floor console. Apologies. However, there still might be the kick plate on yours because I think that is more under the dash than on the console - you might have luck there...

Okay, I solved this one. Thanks for all the suggestions. I found a 4 outlet 12v extension block that had a long enough cord to reach to the 12v socket at the bottom of the center dash on the driver's side. I chose this method to keep from any electrical modifications to the original wiring. No warranty issues. I figured out how to remove my dash cover and cut the outlet cord so I could bring it out at the bottom near the socket and at the top near the RAM tray where I usually set my phone. This way when I need all 4 sockets on top of the dash, I plug it in. there is about 2 inches of cable from the hole to the socket, so no clutter. This makes a very neat installation for all my monitors and other electronics. And a big plus to me, is I can put it back to factory stock in 2 minutes and the only indication it was done are the 2 1/4" holes in very obscure locations near the dash.
