I talked to my local dealer today...they say the parts will be available within the next two to three weeks and that the follow up "official" notices should start getting mailed. The process takes about two hours and most of that is paperwork. They also said there is a software update that may affect some of the vehicles that will be applied at the same time. The process is to actually replace the existing pinion nut with a new one with the ; apparently impossible to find "lock patch"..aka locktite. From his understanding the problem has been with the sourced producer of the pinion nut. Why the flip not get another supplier?
I have been pro Dodge my whole life, but this delay over something so seemingly simple is really wearing on my nerves.
