Default Bell tech question

So I'm picking up a used bell tech 2/4 and a spohn adjustable panhard bar. I have a few questions. Will the spohn bar cent the axle inplace of a drop bracket also will my stock chrome20" wheels with stock tires rub? On last thing I have no air tools will good ole hand tools work? Lastly do I need a spring compressor? I have heard mixed feelings about it. Thanks in advance.

The Spohn bar will re-center the axle, but it won't correct the poor geometry. I would still try to get the bracket if possible. You should have very little or no rubbing. You don't need air tools or a spring compresssor, just be very cautious when releasing the pressure on the front springs. Some guys chain the spring to the control arm to keep it from flying out, if you want to be extra safe.

Now when you say very little rubbing what are we talking about? At full turn? Just the plastic inner fender? I'm just trying to figure out if I want to go ahead and instal or wait to get new wheels and tires which will be 6 months.

If you have purchased your beltech kit recently it should come with the relocation bracket, if you have had it for less than 1 year (I would assume this is the case as you said you were picking it up) You can send a copy of your receipt to belltech and they will mail you a relocation bracket for free. If you have both I would use both

Thanks
Jeremiah

I have heard of minimal rubbing on front inner liner with full compression at speed, as in potholes, big dips in tthe road, etc. I wouldn't worry about it. No rubbing through the turning radius that I've heard of.

All you need are hand tools and a decent hammer to give the spindle a little whack to release the ball joint stud, just remember to keep the nut on a few threads so everything doesn't come flying apart.

I had purchased my 964sp kit from summit racing just 2 weeks ago. Opened it up and sure enough no part# 4992 relocation bracket. Instead of dealing with Summit I called belltech direct and explained to them I bought the kit thru there vendor Summit. Explained to them I was a lil ticked off because I was scheduled for installation and had payed the extra $70 for expedited delivery. Belltech stepped up and 2nd day air me the relocation bracket no charge for part/delivery. Summit has a good turnover ratio, but it would be wise to mention the relocation bracket, which was my mistake..and ordering it online also.

Nice looking buell

Just be careful with the front springs, they can fly off with a lot of force causing injury. Use common sense you'll be fine.

The Buell is for sale as we speak it will find my truck!!!

A buddy of mine mentioned wrapping a ratcheting tied own around the spring when removing it

Any one happen to have a copy of the directions that they can possibly send me.? I just picked it up today the guy had it on his truck for 2 months and got the sphon trackbar for $250. I think it was a pretty good deal.

Autobred did you have to send a copy of the invoice?
