Default Towing cherry busted

So, today, after I got off work and get home I notice my neon is gone. I figured my dad took it out to do some errands. Well, 1/2 hour later he walks up, comes in and hands me a belt. Immediately I know it's the alt. belt and say "oh, shit." Well, he broke down about 3-5 miles down the road and got a ride home from some good Samaritan. We then hop in the truck, head to where the car is parked, verify it's indeed the alt belt he found on the road from his partial walk home. I said I wasn't paying a towing charge and he said "Well, I'm not either." so I broke out the tow rope, looked for a tie down point on the neon and said "We're towing it home!" I hooked up the vehicles with the tow rope it up and put the truck in Tow/Haul and off we went!

All in all it was successful. no damage to the truck or the car! after it was all said and done, it was quite fun getting the experience as it was the first time towing or hauling anything

It's a good thing you had a HEMI with all the heavy duty factory stuff PLUS the TOW/HAUL option for that "load" you were pulling!!!

Hey Kelevra me too buddy. I was on my way home the saturday before easter & stopped to grab a bottle of wine for easter dinner. I came out to the wifes car put the key in it started but ran like crap erratic idle & bogged when I tried to clear her out. I figured maybe ehh some bad gas. More like I hoped. I then figured let me run it up on the street going home & clear her out. I pull outta my spot into the lane & she dies. I pushed it back into a parking spot & I diagnosed a bad fuel pump. I came back easter sunday w/ the wife & utilized my 407 ft lbs of torque to get that german p.o.s. home. Truth be told I was overly nervous about the wife smacking into the rear of my truck w/ the car so I had her operate the truck & I controlled the car behind her. I just figured should S- hit the fan I'd be better at reacting to it & steering clear of my trucks rear turning a negative incident into an even worse one. Cool you got her home w/ no damage to either like my self!

Good deal. was scared as piss about my dad smacking into the back of the truck! I didn't want him driving my truck.. I don't let anyone drive her, yet.. she's too new to me.

At first when I read that line, I pictured he handed you his pants belt and was going to open a new can whoop ass. HAHA awwww childhood memories... (for me)

Good call

My trucks towed more trailers then I can count ( was one of my dads trucks at the RV dealership prior to me)..
Haven't got to pull a car yet.. But have hauled numerous trailers with 3 different rams and a f350.. Towing is fun
