hello, so i tore the engine out of my 94 dodge 1500 long bed 2wd pickup with a five speed because the engine was no good, and was wondering how hard it would be to put a cummins in between the frame rails of this beast and if my 5 speed transmission will bolt up to the cummins engine in the first place.. so to my question now
what would need to be done to convert my wimpy v-6 dodge into a sweet little cummins diesel pickup. please get to me with any useful information at all
im not so much worried about cheeper exactly was mainly curiouse to if it could be down with the stock five speed i have in my truck now. my engine was junk in it but everything thing elce on the truck is mint.. the truck is from down south so like almost no no rust at all
Different engine mounts, fuel system, engine harness, computer, exhaust system. Probably stiffer springs for a considerably heavier engine. And no, the 5 speed won't bolt up. Good thing too 'cause if it did it'd last about 5 minutes. Could it be cobbled together? Sure. Do you like pain?
