Default shock help!!

hey yall,
I got an 02 ram 1500 5.9 4x4 sport with a 3in body lift and was tryin to put new shocks on.I ordered skyjacker nitro 8000 for the front and they were about two inches short. I called the company and explained the problem and they said they should fit because the body lift shoulnt effect the shock but it is. I was lookin on summit racin and found skyjacker shocks (N8092- part number) that said they would fit but when i checked with skyjacker they said no. The shocks on my truck are about 19in on the truck. I dont have the time to take the tire off untill summer to get the actual measurements. Anyone else have any problems and got any ideas? I tried askin if another set from another model that had the right length would fit and people say no but why not? I really need to get it done before july because im goin rock crawlin and offroading for the 4th out in idaho with the family and i dont want stock shocks. thanks for any advice.
