Default De-Badged with fishing line

Hey everyone! It's pretty much dark...but I decided to de-badge at this moment. Couldn't wait.

I found some 8lb fishing line and had it. The string ran right behind the letters and left no glue on the letters. Unfortunately that made more work for the adhesive left on the truck...but luckily I had my trusty 3m eraser wheel to take of it. If I decide to re-use those letters, all I would have to do is put the two-sided tape on and stick-it. No work involved because there is no glue on them right now. I wore gloves, just incase the line decided to cut the hell outta my hands.

Here's some pics! What do ya'll think?

Hey thanks a lot bro! Easy and effective way to do it.

Your truck looks damn sharp my man...it's hard to beat the white

And yes, my wheels are plasti dipped. They aren't glossed either, just the spray can black plastic dip.

For that I just put the truck up on jack stands and ripped the wheels off. Then I cleaned the wheels twice with car wash soap. Make sure that they are pretty flawless before you start. I didn't mask the tire off...just the valve stem. Then, well I just went to town on them. Started with the in-lays then ended with the facing. I used 2 FULL cans so 3 would be a good idea to have. Dried fully in about an hour or two. Put back on the truck and smiled.

Happy modding!

Thanks man!!

That's the ole' baitcaster...I got away from using it, went back to the spinning reel. Actually just bought a new reel for bass/trout. Anyways, I think it's a Shakespeare combo. First time I touches it in two years :P
