Default Bell Tech 2/4. Tires??

I am thinking about running 285/50/20 on my stock chrome clads after I install my 2/4 drop. I am looking for a tire that will be a good year round. I live in MD so we get every kind of weather you can think of. Lets hear some options. Thanks in advance.

Looking at these:

Goodyear Eagle GT2. I have had two sets and even though some say they are a dated tire design they were great. I ran these year round in snow, rain and dry roads, highways. No road noise with a great ride. $700 for set of 4. Check out ebay and if you have a discount tire store they will price match. Same size 285 50 20.

I don't now, but I have run GT2's also, great, great tire. The Nitto 420,s are stickier and are about the same price, but are directional, the cooper and goodyears can be mounted anyway, and are easier to balance. It seems I have heard and experienced, directional tires sometimes are much harder to get a good balance, and cause vibration issues at certain speed.

Actually the Nitto 420s is not directional.

From Nitto's site:

The NT420S features a non-directional, asymmetrical pattern that provides confident performance, rain or shine. The outer shoulder has large, continuous blocks to improve dry traction, while the inner shoulder channels away water for wet performance. The NT420S can be cross-rotated so it wears more evenly across the tire. This feature ensures a quieter, more comfortable ride and longer tread life. The result is a comfortable, ultra high performance radial.

Just because it has to be mounted a certain way on the rim does not make it directional. I don't really see why that would make any difference.

Honestly, now that I think about it why would they make an inside/outside of a non-directional tire? I mean, you could install them all on the rims facing the same way but if you cross-rotate aren't you effectively reversing that? What am I missing, lol?

Because the way the tire is grooved its not directional no but it has to be put on so the groove is towards the inside

An Excellent Tire !

Just mounted up a set and at the same time powdercoated the factory wheels

Looking forward to getting my truck off the lift and back on the road.
Just now finishing up the drop

Looking forward to seeing some finished pics. I also have been looking a getting some of the 420's to go on my factory wheels. I have been tossing around going the 285 rout or 305 rout any recommendations?
