Ok so the $440 is not to far off. Maybe I'll try the install myself.

Do the install yourself, it's fairly easy. Just need a strut spring compressor. Otherwise piece of cake. Save yourself some coin. Then alignment for 100 and your done!!

You don't need a spring compressor to install a front level on a Ram. I've installed levels on a few trucks. The Hellbent Steel 2-inch level I installed on my '13 Ram took about 90 minutes from pulling into my garage to pulling out.

Very pleased with the HBS kit and it's pretty cheap. They all tell you that you need an alignment and you do. That said, I drove my truck for several weeks without. No unusual handling or tire wear; when I did get the alignment, the numbers weren't far off and honestly I probably could've done without it.

That price isn't bad. After it is aligned I'd reccomend going back to the shop after 100 miles and have them either verify it is still aligned or atleast retorque everything. I had a nut come loose on my tie rod and it almost killed me.

I paid $80 for my 2.5" Hell Bent Steel kit and brought it to a local shop that charged $213 for install and alignment, good Work too. $440 sound like a lot to me compared to $293...

They're the same thing, you don't need to compress your spring though. The level kit bolts to the top of the strut, it's just a spacer. $440 is a ton of $$, buy the kit yourself $80-100, install it, then get an alignment($100)

Even better, I just installed bilsteins on my truck last weekend. I bought a spring compresser for $65. I set them at 2.8 which I found was too high, so I lowered them to 2.1 lol. Not a hard job, just take your time compressing that spring. Air impact is also good to have.
