Default Custom Engine Bay

Ive seen some pretty nice engine bays on here and am curious what have people used as far as paint. I don't want it to chip away or anything. Any ideas or tips before I start this project?

My CAI tube is powder coated but the rest of the orange painted pieces under my hood were just done using Dupli-Color DE1652 Chrysler Hemi Orange Engine Spray Paint.

did you pull everything out and paint it or did you just mask and paint inside the engine bay? I plan on going with a black and red theme but want to find out exactly what needs to be done. such as proper ways to prep the plastic parts. pictures are definitely welcomed

I did a bunch of pieces in my engine bay as well. I powder coated most of the metal piece, like my custom reservoirs, intake manifold. Most of the plastic pieces were painted with standard automotive paint. I used automotive primer and black on things like the brake fluid reservoir. I cleaned everything really well with a degreaser, rinsed, then masked off in the engine bay. I went through a lot of news paper, but it's important not to get overspray everywhere.
