Hikemike is on a distinguished road
Default 2007 4.7 engine swap for 2012 4.7

I want to put a 2012 4.7 in my 2007
Ram 1500. It has 4.7 in it now.
Is possible without to much trouble?

Chances are its going to be a pain. First i would find out they are share a simular family size. Research if you will be able to move compents and connectors to the 2012 with out having to splice new connections. find out if tranny and linkages will work....

anything is possible with enough research, money and fabrication (in that order)

I believe the engine and all or at least most of the accessories will bolt in to the truck and transmission. You will have to swap the pcm, harness, and some sensors. It will still be a huge PITA most likely.
