Well I finally got my truck home. It's been a long drawn out process just trying to get it home! (if this doesn't belong here, please let me know!)

So, I go yesterday to pick it up, test drive it and make sure it handles like it should (check). When I very first get in the truck, I start it and it fires right up, but the shifter won't disengage from park to any gear- no matter how hard you step on the break/shut the engine off or what ever.

I have the service manager over to evaluate it and he informs me that the truck had just done the exact same thing to him earlier that day... (you would think thy would have looked at it before they sent me off in it). He proceeded to tell me that if I brought it back he'd fix it. I said "okay", it finally released and I got to drive the truck.

This started after all the work they did to my truck before I picked it up.... they had to install a few parts to fix the truck, which included Pitman Arms, and a gear box. I'm believing they caused the issue when they fixed something else, or it could be a sensor that won't allow it release the shifter.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, thoughts/ideas on how to fix it? Other than this one "issue" I LOVE my new truck!

Sounds like a simple adjustment to the linkage is needed. Nice truck! I have a 2007 MegaCan.

Makes me miss mine. I had an 06 Mega Cab 1500. Great truck. I absolutely loved it. I ran a leveling kit and 35" BFG KM2s. Great looking truck. I just sold it due to the mpg.
