Default 2013 Ram designers copied my Mod?

I noticed today at the dealership that the new 2013 Rams has a weather seal between the hood and the grill. I did a similar thing after I complained to the dealership (with no solution) that road spray leaked in the engine bay. Here is my setup that I did over a year ago.

hood deflectors shouldn't be too hard to install
the paint protector only takes a bit of room
you should be able to slip it under the seal, if yours is similar to mine

I can't believe they didn't put one there in the first place. Stupid idea not to put a weather seal in the location where water is very likely to get in!

They added that seal to the higher trim level 2012's I think.

I know my 2012 Laramie 2500 Cummins had this seal.

Huh I have a 2012 Sport and I looked, mine has the holes for where it would be, but no strip.

Weird. Oh well

Do you know if you have to remove that seal in order to have the hood deflector fit properly??? I understand that the deflectors for the 2013s are finally out....
