Default Help..jacked up seatbelt!

So my wife went to use the back middle seatbelt for a car seat today-this is the first time anyone has used the seat and my seatbelt is all messed up. A little background...my truck is a 2012 Crew Cab and I just got it back a week or so ago when my mom simply started pulling out the seatbelt on the back driver's side and the seatbelt would never retract back in. As you can see from the photograph I have the male end of the middle seat coming out on what would be your right side when you're sitting in the middle seat. Then on that same seatbelt there is a metal loop piece just hanging loose and lastly the female end for the middle seat is also on your right hand side-so the belt would not go across your body. I looked at both of the outside seating positions in the back and confirmed I was looking at the correct female end for the backseat. Tell me I'm confused or else whoever put in my seatbelts on my Larmamie Limited sure did a shit*y job!

I have to wonder if your back seat slides or folds forward enough to see behind it
I seem to recall something about the Crew Cabs, child safety seats, shopping bag hooks, etc., all behind the seat on the rear bulkhead of the cab

I just looked at a bunch of photos and my female end is definitely on the wrong side of the rear middle seat. So no matter what the other metal loop is supposed to attach to...it still wouldn't work

I don't know if it's an option or not....

having said that, lift up the rear seat and see if you can reposition the female end of the seat belt. I frequently need to pull the female end of the seat belt for the left rear out from under the seat.

Perhaps yours has just slid over while the seat was up. If that doesn't work I think a trip to the dealer is in order, as it's a pretty much useless seat belt bucket the way it is

good luck

Exco

Could it be that they bolted the female end (Buckle) in the spot where the belt end is to bolt on? I bet there is a spot to bolt the buckle part on the right side of the middle seat.

Or I am totally not getting what is going on here.

either the belts some how crossed or slid back out of site, or possibly a second set is back behind the seat, that is used for child safety seat use

OR
they messed up at the assembly plant & you need to go to the dealership & get it corrected

you won't find out if you don't try to look behind the seat, that is why i mentioned those other brackets
