Default Small sub install locations for a Quad Cab?

I don't want to give up the under rear seat storage? What are other options for installing a small sub? Do they still make those "all-in-on" 8" subs that would fit under a seat? Does anyone have one in their truck?

I've had an under seat sub like you're asking about. I know they are still made. Check Crutchfield, they have one they market under their Sound Ordinance name that does a decent job. Pretty easy to hook up if you've done things like that before.

If you're just wanting to mount and hook up an amp... I'd throw it under the driver's seat.

I've had several amps installed this way throughout the years and I've never had any issues, besides the PITA of getting enough access while doing the install.

good luck

Exco

There isnt really much underseat storage to speak of, I never used it. I had this custom installed.....

I am running Kenwood Excelon shallow mount subs, but my installer said I could go bigger.

I'll be keeping my eye on this thread. I'd like to add just 1 sub but I do not want to sacrifice the entire rear seat storage, i'd be willing to lose half of it.

I had a box made to go under the rear passenger side seat in my 2011 Crew to replace the factory sub. That way you don't lose the storage under the driver side. I had the amp mounted in the middle behind the cup holders, but you could mount it under the driver's side seat like some have said.
