Default Thinking about it.

I took the 2013 longhorn for a test drive yesterday. Very nice, my wife really liked it. A definite upgrade to my current ride. Salesman is going to call on Monday as they didn't have one on the lot that was quite the way I wanted it dressed up. They had just placed an order for one that was close so they said they would check to see if there was time to add a few more options like sunroof and the larger fuel tank. They only offered $19000 on trade so I told them they better do a little better there as well.

Good luck it's a great truck. The 32 gallon tank does come standard on the Longhorn. Be mindful that its payload rating does not conflict with what you want to use the truck for. It doesn't have much payload to start with and all those options and upgrades add weight and eat into the base payload rating substantially.

Just curious what options and colors you are looking for?I just ordered a Longhorn this past Friday. I could not find what I wanted at a dealership.

I have the 32g fuel tank and wish I would have got one without. Dam sloshing gets annoying in stop and go traffic. Not sure if it was a even trade off for extended miles between fill ups

We were looking at the Copperhead Pearl because they had one on order but I sent a message this morning asking if they could change it to the Deep Cherry Red because we decided we liked the color better.

I don't think that will be an issue for me. I'm in northern Ontario so we don't get to much stop and go traffic. It's ussually about 50miles between stop lights, LOL.

Ya then you won't notice it. I didn't for the 1st month. Then I started hitting heavy stop and go and I started noticing it a lot more. Without the heavy traffic it's nice to have.

The Copperhead Pearl is what I finally decided to get. I looked at pictures on this forum and actually drove to several dealers. It was a tough decision but my wife is convinced we made the right choice.

I don't mind the copperhead color but know my wife would prefer the Deep Cherry Red. Dealer says they will be in touch tomorrow to let me know if they can make the changes I want, then the serious haggling will begin.
