Default Tranny acting weird again?? anyone have this happen??

Last week I told you this story: http://ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=145932

Now this morning I started the truck and let it idle for about 1 minute, placed my foot on the brake and shifted into reverse to back out of my driveway. I gave the tranny a few seconds to engage as I always do before taking my foot off the brake. I then took my foot off the brake, normally the truck would start to move at idle on its own, however it didn't. So I gave it a little gas and it began to rev up as if in neutral and then harshly engaged into reverse with a clunk and started moving. I backed out of my driveway and drove to work with no issues at all... I have an appointment with the dealership on 7/11 to get this looked at but was wondering if anyone here has had any tranny issues like this with their new ram???? I plan to keep this truck for 8-10 years, I don't want to be putting a transmission in it if I can help it so I'd really like it to function properly now so I can be assured it will last....

are you on an incline, if so, then its just your Hill assist, you can turn this off if you want, before going to the dealers turn it off and see if it does it again.

There was an issue with the drainback valve in the spin on tranny filter. Was posted on here a little while back. Might be a TSB for this.

Look here, post #17

Nope, both times this happened I was on perfectly flat ground. Grass the first time, pavement the second...
