I have the front badge drying in the dish rack in the kitchen (washed road grime off in the sink) and spray area set up for later tonight or tomorrow.

Maybe this weekend I'll tackle the chrome bits on the tailgate and I'll try that technique.

AsILayDying is correct. The hardest part in my opinion is getting the smaller pieces out from the inside of the letters, like the “A”. You need something non-metallic and thin to kind of scrape the Plasti-Dip back enough to get a lip on it to remove it. I took a cap from a cheap pen with the long tail on it and filed it down so it was thin enough to reach the inside of the letters and I worked the Plasti-Dip until I could get a little lip and then used some crazy tiny needle nose to pull on that lip to remove the rest of it. Check out this video to get an idea of how to do it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=nPgtiv6iKi4

It’s a little tricky the first time, but by the time I was on my last badge I felt like a pro.

I just started on plasti dipping my badges today, and as far as getting the small part out from in between the letters, TOOTHPICKS. They work great to get into the small areas and cause of the point hooks the plasti dip well and doesnt scratch the paint.

That is so obviously a great idea I feel like a dork for overthinking it.
