A lot of contractor/excavators around me use them on thier dual wheeled pick ups and small 1+ ton dump trucks for traction. Not sure what the rubber compound reads on a durameter but they seem to hold up fine.

similar to ridgerunnerseoinc's post, a lot of the constuction and lawn care guys I see are using duratracs. Not sure what you're using them for, but they seem to last a while for them.

I run 285/60's and there a great tire. Not to loud and there a solid tire. I think they are a great full size truck tire. I can throw some stuff in the bed hook up my little trailer and you can't even tell. It does ride a little stiffer than it did with the car tires that came in the truck.

What does "too soft" mean?

I've never heard a tire refered to in this way....

I'm guessing by "too soft" he means that they will wear fast and be squirmy on the road do to a soft rubber compound.

I have read this "soft sidewall" comment before but I certainly never experienced it. Perhaps the difference is I run E rated tires.
I like the duratrac and plan on a set for my new RAM when I pick it up; will use load range E.

Ok.

I doubt the Duratracs are anything but that.
