Default Larger tires with air suspension.

The factory goodyear 275/60/20 that came with my 2013 are glorified car tires. Pulled the skid loader and trailer last week and the air suspension leveled everything great but the sidewall flex on the tires made everything feel pretty unstable. Would like to go to LT275/65/20 which are 1" taller. Anyone tried taller tires with air suspension?

I haven't received my yet but was wondering the same thing. What I would do lever it in park mode and turn wheels lock to lock and measure if ther is enough clearence. I'm sure someone else will chime in.

I just came on the forum to ask the exact same question. No use for 4ply tires on a truck, want to upgrade and had LT275/65 on my last truck. Would like to do the same now, but do not know about the air ride!

Same here! I would love to know what options we have in an all terrain tire with air ride. I've been worried about it since ordering that maybe I shouldn't have gotten air ride. I don't want anything crazy big just somewhat more aggressive. I have been driving a lifted Jeep Rubicon JK with BFG KM2 35's for the past three years and now I'm ready for comfort. I guess turning 40 may have something to do with it! I just don't want to get stuck launching my duck boat or going to the deer camp.

Guys-great questions. I've studied this for months now. There are a couple forum members here that have their trucks and have upgraded to the LT275/65 20 tire. I am considering the same.

You might find this helpful:
http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=139009
http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=140013 (this link is what justifies the switch in my mind).

One thing I've learned, however, is the tire will be much heavier, which may decrease your mileage. I suspect the LT tire will ride a bit "rougher" than OEM tires, but with air suspension, this does not concern me.

Hope this helps...keep us updated, and I'll do the same.

DrAudio-where are you located in Arkansas? I echo your remarks here-the Nitto Terra Grappler is a great tire, I hear. Also, BFG and Cooper makes some great AT tires in the LT275/65.

I'm in Batesville HorseMan. You? I had BFG A TKO's years ago on a Dodge Truck and they were great with low noise. I'm really digging the looks of the Cooper Zeon LTZ's.

ordered cooper zeon ltz 275/65/r20's today-hope to have them on by Friday. Will report-not worried about in the fully lowered position because can always hit the raise button before driving.

Fort Smith for now...we are a fair piece apart. Have not found many from Arkansas on here. Those Zeon tires are great I hear. A couple of tire shops here indicated they are prone to cupping, so you had to rotate frequently. I've never run them. I'm leaning toward the Nitto myself. I'm not sure they are worth the money, however...pricey boogers!

Good seeing you on here.

Be sure and send pics! Looking forward to report...I've got to decide pretty quick myself. I like the looks of the Zeon tires. Are you sticking with stock wheels?
