Thanks for the idea. I thought of doing that but I have two tank fillers. Diesel and DEF. not sure if ill be able to move it around much after its loose. Maybe I'll have more courage to mess with it tomorrow. :-)

FYI- here are the directions that came with my Mopar fuel door. As you can see the illustrations do not match the bracket I recieved.

Usually you can wiggle them around enough. Shouldn't need to much room to get at them. It's only a couple screw so if it doesn't work at least it's easy to put back

I know there has to be a trick for getting it done. I was just hoping to find someone that already solved the puzzle since the truck is only a few days old and has about 100 miles on it. :-)

Those directions look right but for a 1500 like mine. That would be the way to change mine since it doesn't have the 2 inside screws

They must have had to reinforce it since there is also a DEF filler in there on the 2500's. It would have been nice if Mopar included the directions for the revised bracket since they went to the trouble of making it.

A person at the place I ordered my cap from was nice enough to try and get to the problem screws on a truck he has there. He was able to get to the bottom screw by loosening the filler housing bit couldn't get to the top screw. It has to be doable somehow...

I see the door your using was it made for a 2009-2013 1500. How are you going to keep dirt out of your capless fuel filler? Are you adding a cap??

The door is for a 2013 and the rubber seal transfers over. I had it on there and it fit perfect.

When you fill the urea tank, is there a way to tell when its close to full so you can stop before you over fill it and it spills out into the fuel fill hole?
