Default What loan rates did you get?

I got 2.9% for 78 months on my '13. I am currently paying 4.7% on my '11 for 72 months so I am happy with the 2.9%. I pay extra every month and will pay it off well before the 78 months if all goes well. I could have gotten 0% for 36 months but I just couldn't afford those payments.

How did you guys do?

There are several members on here that got 0.0% for 84 months a few weeks back. My neighbor bought a truck two weeks ago Friday and got 1.7% for 84 months from PNC Bank.

And to think Chrysler's best incentive for the 2500 is either $500 or 5.9%. Seriously?

My rate could go down I guess since my truck just got ordered and things change over time. I'd love 0% for 84 months! I have good credit but I guess it's luck that determines your rate? The 4.7% was hyped up by my dealer as being very good and I didn't know any better so I thought it was good. Are there tricks to getting lower rates?

I'm expecting to get a fairly good rate when we go in to finalize the deal when my truck arrives. The dealership we bought my truck at uses 18-20 financial institutions to compete for your loan. Coupled with our high credit scores, I'm expecting some exceptional rates to be offered. Hopefully, I'll be able to update this thread in about 4 weeks.

I bought mine and got 3.05% for 84, a couple days later I contacted my credit union and they said they could do 1.9 for 72 months. I might go ahead and do that, for some reason 84 months seems like a long time compared to 72

I don't like having a lot of credit checks since they affect my credit score. I always get things in the mail offering to lower my rate if I refinance with them but I have never looked into it. I hope I end up with a rate low enough that I don't have to worry about it. 2.9% isn't bad but lower is better.

Quicken Loans always sends me mail to refinance my mortgage and my truck. If they have lower rates couldn't my dealer use them to start with?

I don't have a ok credit score and I am self employed so the best I could do was 5.25% for 72. State Farm already told me when I get my score up 7 points or so they will refinance me at a lower rate and I will probably throw some cash in and shave a year off at that time.
