Default All-Terrain Tire Opinions

So, I'm thinking about going to A/T tires on our truck. I like the look of the real aggressive tires, but not sure I want to deal with the noise. I've been doing a little looking and talking to a couple tire shops, but thought I would get some personal feedback. What do y'all like and why?

I'm kind of leaning towards the BF Goodrich Rugged Terrain right now, but would like to see some opinions.

This is the Rugged Terrain:

This is more the "look" I like:

Have you looked into the Cooper Zeon LTZ? They are a good looking tire imo.

just because they look more aggressive doesnt mean they are gonna be loud. look at bfg at ko, wrangler duratracs, the nittos are a good choice. only tire I've heard of that's obnoxiously loud are nitto mud graps. I have federal mts and the road noise isn't bad at all. if u get 40" super swampers or iroks then ull have some loud tires. so u have more options and can get what u want. aggressive but decent on road, look at duratracs

BFG A/T KO and the Duratracs are both sopose to be real good all terrain tires. Both are sopose to have great thread life.
The rugged trails seem like they are less aggressive then those.
Don't know anyone is person that runs the nittos so got no option on them.

Default Falken Rocky Mountain

I just got the Falken Rocky Mountain's installed on my 2012 1500 crew cab sport about a month ago. They are every bit as quiet as the stock Goodyears and perform much better offroad in situations such as sand dunes where the Goodyears would slide around on me. I got the LT's to help with towing, but they are much heavier than stock (25lbs per tire), which I didn't think would be as noticeable as they really are. It's a fairly big difference accelerating and has cut about 1 mpg around town & 2 mpg pulling my travel trailer.

Those look a lot like the Mickey Thompson MTZ.

Yes, they are in the stock tire size. 275 60 R20. They are the quietest A/T I have had and I have Bfgoodrich at to tires on my last truck, Bridgestone dueler A/t revos on the truck before that. Even had Goodyear wrangler duratracs on the truck before that one. Lol. In my experience the only A/T tire that is quieter, is the Cooper discoverer A/T 3. My brother has them on his GMC. Very good performing tire, just preferred the look of the Zeon over it.

Yes, they are in the stock tire size. 275 60 R20. They are the quietest A/T I have had. I had Bfgoodrich A/T TO tires on my last truck(wore great got 65,000 out of them, performed well in almost all conditions but road like rocks, and spun easily on wet roads), Bridgestone dueler A/t revos(great on wet roads and sand, short life span only got 27000 out of them),on the truck before that. Even had Goodyear wrangler duratracs on the truck before that one(good all around, just didnt like the look.)Lol. In my experience the only A/T tire that is quieter than the Zeon are the Cooper discoverer A/T 3s.My brother has them on his GMC.
