Default lift help

I miss my lifted 99 4x4 1500.. but i'm thinking on putting one in my 2001 2500 ..she is stock except the tires . just repowered with a lower millage 5.9ltr and traney but still want her to sit a little bit taller ..i want to do a body lift ..thinking about a 4in .. my 99 had a 9in 6 suspension 3 body..i liked that ..but lacking 4x4 in my 01 still want her taller ....i need new shocks in front end ...thank you for your replies.....John

IMHO, body lift is the way to go, keeps the suspension geometry intact, and the CG lower. Only thing is, you'd have to drill and plate your reciever hitch up a distance equal to the body lift difference, or it'd look incredibly stupid hanging way down, all by itself!!
