I have the 14" and I think it is perfect. I drove a 3600 miles one way (Michigan to Alaska) and the drone was there but it wasnt too bad. I am doing the same trip in a couple weeks. If I had to do it again I would do the same thing or I would get a 22" and get an E-cutout.

Thanks again for the replies. I know it is subjective, but all I have heard so far is on videos on you tube and its really hard to tell cause some cameras do not take the audio well. I haven't heard in persopn so thats why I thought i would post on here to get some opinions from people with real experience with each muffler.

Back to the 18", I have heard people say that they barely notice the noise and difference from the stock muffler. Is there any truth to this? I don't want to buy a $200 muffler and not hear it at all, this was my reasoning for looking at the 14" at first until I read about the interior noise and drone.

Basically I am looking for a nice heathly sounding V8 Hemi sound without being over the top loud while useing the truck for family trips or listening to music.

Thanks again for all the replies!

Regardless of what Magnaflow muffler you get the noise will be COMPLETELY different. It will be deep, throaty, turn heads and sound like a Hemi should. You really can't go wrong with any of one the ones you're looking at, they're all great choices! So I wouldn't worry about not noticing a difference... that's just crazy talk

The only time the 18 becomes 'like' stock is on flat or downhill cruising where there is little to no load on the engine, acceleration and and anything that requires some throttle you will definitely know that it is there....and it sounds brilliant

I went with the 14 and love the sound . There still breaking on so it will most likely get louder.
No issues with drone that I can tell

Just got my 18 installed today. I deleted the resonators and you can hear it when you are cruising. Personally, I do not think the 14 would be good for a daily driver in your situation. But when you get on it, that thing comes alive! Best of both worlds IMO. I can't say what the difference would be resonator delete vs/ keeping them, but I sure do like the way mine sounds.

I have the 22" muffler only. Did not delete resonaters. This muffler has a nice tone at startup and has no drone at highway speed.

It really lights up when you stand on gas petal. It kinda reminds me of the Mustang GT sound.

Go 18, the 14 is too loud in the cab, JMO for a daily driver

If you want just a muffler Id recommend the 22 muffler PN# 12588. Its the same one used in the Magnaflow Catback and it has zero drone. It uses a larger case size (5x11) vs (5x8)... Thats my 2 cents worth.
I agree 100% with this. i put in the 18" magnaflow with the Y pipe and it has alot of drone and i am going to have to swap it out for a 22" now.
