Default Bed lighting

Have another question for all you knowledgable people here . Have seen several trucks with bed lights . Think it would be a good addition . Just added a hard tonneau and a bedrug . Adding light would be a bonus for many reasons .

Anyone here give a how to and what products should I be looking for ? Tried doing a search of the forum and did not turn up much .

I was going to order these I saw them on an F150 and they looked good. I had their tailgate light bar on my 09 ram and it worked great so I figure why not try them

I have these on my '11 ram and they work good. I have pictures on the '11 ram section somewhere.

I ordered me some Waterproof 3W 60-LED 3W Flexible Light Strip - White Light (1-Meter/DC 12V). I ordered 4 of them but will only use 2. one on each side mounted under the bedrailing. I haven't decided yet if I will hook them up with Cargo Light or with seperate switch in tairlgate or both.

I'm still waiting for my Truck to get built but will do up a how too once I get it done.(hope sometime June) There are some threads showing how to do this in the exterior lighting section.

BTW These Led strips were only $5 each plus free shipping from dealxtreme.com (great site) @ $5 each I ordered a 2nd set which I haven't decided what to do with yet.

It's amazing how cheap you can find LED's. DO NOT buy kits from these websites. The amount they charge is stupid. $50-$150 for a few LED's? I usually buy a water proof roll on EBAY from China for about $10 and it comes with roughly 12-15 YARDS!!!

It's extremely simple to size them up as they can be cut at every 2" or so. Simple sauder on your positive and negative wires and easily mount the custom cut LED strips wherever you'd like with a good quality double-sided adhesive tape. Simple.

I agree.. I went with the ones I mentioned rather then a roll is because they are the right lenght and have the double sided tape already.

Only problem I see with the rolls are that it seems they would not allow a tonneau cover because they will block where the clamps go. All that matters is that they light up the bed though.

Default Battery operated LEDs

Has anyone tried any of the battery operated LED lights available for bed illumination. I personally don't feel confident in my electrical skills to try and wire in a set of lights by myself. I thought maybe the battery powered ones would be a good substitute. I've seen the sylvania LED light dots which take 3 AA batteries, and are waterproof, with battery life supposidly about 100 hrs. I'm thinking about some of these, but just wanted to know if anyone else had tried them or other brands and what their thoughts were.
