Default Impressed so far with the Pentastar MPG

So the last two trips I have taken I must say I am really impressed with the Fuel Economy of the Pentastar 8 spd SLT Crew Cab....This was my ~100k trip to work this morning 8.9 L/100km or 26.4MPG...Very slight wind this morning something like 10km/hr....I am glad I made the switch

I am averaging 10.3 (22.MPG) combined...Mind you I am no way driving it hard hahahaha clearly

What about power/torque?

Are you still impressed based on [possible] expectations or not?

Actually since I do very little towing and I have yet to tow anything I cant say anything about the torque it pulls ok off the line with the 8spd. The only towing I will be doing is ~2000 lb boat so the V6 is plenty for that I would assume (more to come on that)

For acceleration it passes at highway speeds no problem as long as the 8 speed continues the way it does as it drops gears to get the passing speeds. Then shifts back up once you let off the gas.

Since the weather has improved drastically here I now am sitting at an avg of 9.5L/100km since I took over the truck and now has 3k on it.

I did go from a sport with 5.7 hemi and for my needs don't need that much power mind you that engine is fun as hell though.

To be honest though if you don't limit yourself to a certain L/100km or speed you will burn through gas, I keep a trip log to keep me on track (I do not use cruise control as my route has plenty of inclines / declines and i would rather control it myself. I try to limit myself to max out at 10L/100km at constant driving unlesss uphill (I find this technic works for me)

But I am still impressed with it and I had a friend in the truck and he couldnt believe it was only a V6. Gotta give props to Ram for that !!!
