Default OEM brake controller.. does dealer have to have truck to program?

this total non mechanicaly inclined self just installed the oem brake controller...phew.... other then only putting in 2 of the 3 screws(no way to get that 3rd screw in) it was a very very easy job. I know that I have to have dealer program this for me. is this something that they need the truck for? or can they just call it in for me? im 20 miles from dealer, and would have to leave the truck overnight there and lose it for most of day if I have to drop off... but if they can just call it in for me then that's great. im not sure whats involved..thank you

Do you have a picture of it installed ?

Is it the stock 2013 Ram Integrated brake controller, or from a different year

I just finished installing mine..wow that last screw is brutal. It is now a spare screw. I felt that the install was easy besides putting a hundred miles on my new truck getting the parts. The dealer is going to set the thing up when they install my receiver on Saturday. It's in a great location and looks great.

Yes it is a 2013 controller.. item number is 82213474... and wow, that last screw was impossible.. like you, that is now a spare sitting in a toolbox.. I couldn't get it..not sure how dealer does it but im sure they leave that 3rd screw off also.. have to to dealer tomorrow to program it for me.. they state it would have cost two hours labor for the full install.im wondering now how much the program would cost me? as I installed it myself instead

They Will have to add the controller to your build sheet and then just flash it. 20 min tops. If you know them well they may not charge. If not Will be around 40 bucks.

What did you guys end up paying for the EVIC flash?
The dealer here in Ontario said it was a 1 hour job and charged me $102!!! Wondering if they included the time to do the five recall updates as well?
I have to go back tomorrow so I would like to know. The geniouses couldn't find my wheel lock while they had the truck today, so they didn't rotate the tires! I let him know it was still tie wrapped to the jack under the passenger seat where the factory put it!!! Unreal.
Please let me know what the update cost you guys. Did the install myself (easy except for that 1 "spare" screw).
