Paid $449 for my spray in bed liner. Dealer did it through the Ram Dealership name and it saved me on taxes so he did not charge me the normal $499. This Rhino dealer preps by sanding the bed ( probably no longer needed according to him ), wiped down, and sprayed the bed and tailgate. He removed the tailgate panel, sprayed down to the sheet metal seams on the bed and tailgate. That's why I picked them versus a factory liner.

Got my Line-X done about 2 months ago and have abused it ever since. Still looks great no fade or nothing. Cost me $480 ($504 after taxes) don't know about Premium though. I'm very pleased with their product and service. Definitely can't go wrong saving up for it...its worth it

Go back to the dealer and tell them that you want to get their price. If they're not a-holes, they will call your their local Line-X connection on your behalf (they have a working relationship because some people get this added into their deal). I got mine done that way and paid $380.

My dealer doesn't use linex. They use a place called crutchman and I'm not sure what brand of spray they use which is why I opted out of the Bedliner from them. I know its not linex and I'm petty sure its not even rhino liner so its some off name brand or something.

Whether the bed is galvanized or not(I would guess no, but really am not sure...why would you galvanize something getting painted...) linex is going to sand all the paint off your bed when they spray the liner. This is for adhesion. Don't worry about it. Also, if it is galvanized and you scratch it, you will scratch the paint AND the galvanizing off most likely.

I don't think linex sands the paint off. If so it would take a lot longer than a couple hours. I had a piece chipped off by a forklift and the paint was still there.

Be honest with yourself about the premium top coat. If you are gonna use your bed regularly then probably not worth it. If you rarely use your bed then it might be worth it. I went with the standard for that reason. A little spritz of 303 now and then and it still looks like new.

I like the premium because I have seen a lot of trucks with very faded linex. To the point that it looked white. I know they can go over it anytime to bring the blackness back but I'd rather not worry about it from the start.

According to this video, they lightly sand it. I'm guessing for better adhesion with their product.

They don't literally sand all the paint off but they sand the whole bed to scuff it up so the linex they spray will adhere. You need a rough surface for adhesion. My point was that they are going to sand the whole bed, so don't worry about a scratch lol.
