Default Tow hook ?

So I just bought tow hooks for my big horn, along with 5100's and chrome door molding I saw that mopar offers 2 different tow hook option plastics. From what I can see in the pictures one is for below the bumper and one might be around where the hooks stick out? Is this correct? Do I need to order either of these or can I just cut the existing material? Thanks for the help!

not exactly sure what you are asking

are you wondering where the tow hooks go ?
Or wondering what needs to be done with the plastic insert in either the plastic or chrome bumper

I have the chrome bumper. I was told that you need to order a different piece when adding tow hooks. When i looked it up mopar listed 2 different pieces. I guess what it boils down to is do i need more than just the hooks? I was looking for a thread to see if anyone has added hooks to my bumper style but couldn't find one.

You'll need the plastic piece that has the cutouts already done to make easier OR you can just cut your plastic inserts to save money. I've seen people say it can be a PITA cutting the stock plastics for the hooks. Much cleaner to buy the insert that already has the cutouts.

The only problem with that scenario is that if you're not happy with the look you'll have to remove the newly installed hooks before you can put the new inserts in as the inserts are attached behind the bumper. No biggie, just something to be aware of. I made a pattern and drew it on the cutout with a yellow china marker crayon. I tried a Sharpie first, but it didn't show up as well as the china marker. Just take your time, it isn't hard.

Here is a pic of my front oem tow hook. You can see how much of the plastic you need to cut out. A dremel would be perfect for the job.
