Default OEM radio questions

Hey, new guy here. I have a 2006 Single Cab short bed ram 1500 and i was looking to replace the radio. I kind of want to leave it as stock as possible since its my daily driver and go everywhere with it.

I was wondering if it was possible to buy a newer model OEM stereo and install it in my truck. Reason i wanna do this is because I want an AUX cord and my radio doesn't come with one.

Is it possible? I've found some for cheap nearby but I want to be sure it can be done before i purchase it.

Thanks in advanced.

When I was researching what radio to put in my 2009, I used OEMAUTOPARTSCO.COM as a starting point. While it wasn't the end all of information, and I didn't find out that the radio I wound up installing would work on that site, it gave me the warm and fuzzy to do further research..

Good Luck!

Andy

I totally agree with OEMAUTOPARTSCO.COM
That site has almost every bit of information for each OEM radio that you will ever find
