You just need to see a different dealer and call the Ram CD line don't waste time emailing them. I brought mine in a month or more after the update the batt died. The dealer installed a new batt and found the light was staying in, then as new BCM and after a few help calls to whoever they figured out I needed a new 8.4a and got me one. The people from Ram called my dealer and got me out of the Avenger I was given and rented me a pickup from the enterprise at the lot a 13 Ram 1500 quad cab no charge that I have for almost 2 weeks while it was being fixed. There was no argument about the repair at all. Just a little hassle on the rental they gave me but a call got that fixed and the woman Teresa from Ram CS emailed daily and called several times to make sure I was happy.y only complain was the dealer scratched the radio surround and I had to bring it to their attention and they ordered a new one and I would have liked a quick vacuum and rinse off not given a 3 month inks $43k truck back dirty. The radio comes in the truck and the update comes though them so they should warranty it without a issue.

The service adviser said that since it was downloaded from the Dodge Ram Forum that it didn't meet Chrysler standards.
It was the same exact website it takes you to when you get on Uconnect website

Are you sure the service guy understood that you did not get the file from any forum? I think NEVER to use the word "forum" when speaking to these guys. It is always "You can't believe what you hear on the internet" with them.

She wasn't listening. I gave her the site name and everything, but she focused on the Forum. I told her it takes you to the exact same site the Forum does. She said her warranty rep said because it was downloaded from the forum it didn't meet the Chrysler standards.

Take it to another dealer ASAP and tell them the exact link you used from the Uconnect site and tell them that other people have had the same issue and needed a new radio. I think you said your dealer replaced the gauges already right? If so tell them your dealer did that and it did not fix the problem and now they are giving you a hard time about the warranty. I know they will at least check it out and notice the lights staying on. Then they will call chrysler for a solution and eventually replace the radio under warranty. I can't believe this hasn't be fixed yet and your dealer sucks! I would put that dealerships name and your actual dealers name on here so noone buys from her again... Why have a warranty if they don't let you use it! I had issues with a lazy dealer not wanting to fix the bed cap on my tailgate that was flopping around on one side and just needed new double sided tape. He actually told me twice to let it fall off before getting it replaced (probably hoping it would not be under warranty anymore at that time). I am trading that truck in now as is and going to let the dealer/new owner worry about that now. It still has 10k miles and 1 year left on the original bumper to bumper warranty.

Sounds like she may have had to deal with a couple of these and they are a headache and she is grasping for straws to not have to do the paperwork. That being said dealerships are paid for warranty repairs so if you go somewhere else and they do the repairs she just cost her dealership money.........which is why I would go somewhere else.

She said it was a uconnect problem so i would have to take it up with them to pay for a new radio. What? I'm responsible to have uconnect to fix this when it was oem when i bought the truck. Wow!

try to reload the software if not try to get an older version that was on and reinstall... If all that fails take it to the dealer adn tell them the radio is acting up it kees going on and off and the gps is acting up ... Maybe they might reflash it ... And then its their issue.... Lol

An unknowledgable service advisor, period. Take it to a better service department that actually works for their customers.
