Default I got wheels! Check them out and answer my question please.

My first Ram is on it's way to me now from Maui (long story), and it has rusty steel wheels on it. I was scouring Craigslist and found these guys for a great price and couldn't resist even though I have never even driven my truck yet.

Now the question. I have done some searches but have not found a straight answer. My truck is a 2007 1500 regular cab 4x4, not lifted or leveled. 4 wheel disc brakes if it matters. It came with 245 70 r17 tires and the 17x7 steelies. These new ones are ProComp Xtremes and are 17x8. I have two brand new 24570r17 tires that I want to use and plan to buy 2 more. I do not want to go to 265 tires for mileage, speedometer, and cost reasons. This truck will be taking me back and forth on long road trips to Arizona all the time so I am sticking with highway all season tires.
The tire shop guy said that with 8 inch wheels I should buy 4 new 265 tires, but will I "get away" with these and my 245s? I realize I wont look as cool as if I threw 35's on it, and I may be the only guy with these sweet wheels and stock tires.

I just checked the website (the tires are Hankook HT) and they say max rim width is 8 inches, I don't know why I didn't think to check it before.
I also checked the Wheel website, and the wheels have a 4.5 inch back space with 0 offset.

I actually went ahead and ordered some BFG Rugged Terrains in 26570r17. I tried to save money and mpg, but in the end I wanted a little bit tougher tires. I'm really excited now.
