Default Check out this mileage - 2012 Ram Hemi - No BS

I am totally impressed with the mileage I just got on a 450+ mile round trip this weekend. Windsor to Burlington and back. I think the Bully Dog has a bit to do with it as I've never seen this mileage on the highway before. This is not just the highway trip. I reset the EVIC right after I filled up. There is city driving before the trip and a little during the trip. Probably about 40 miles out of the 450+. Most of the miles were at 70MPH. During the trip up, there was a stiff cross wind that was blowing the truck around pretty good. At the end of that section the EVIC read 16.7MPG. This picked up after I shut off the cruise about half way and used the old trusted foot instead. On the way back (no cruise) there was barely any wind. Much nicer than on the way up. Mileage went from 16.4MPG (dropped due to a little city driving) to 19.3MPG when I got home!!! We had a little detour to visit friends which added about 25 miles to the trip. Mostly at 50MPH. I can't complain about this at all. I am very happy. Like I said I think the Bully Dog has something to do with it although I had never travelled this far with such a light load last summer. I was always loaded down or pulling the trailer. This time it was just me, the wife and the 2 girls and a small amount of luggage. Probably 500lbs total.

Here is a shot about 20 miles from home. It jumped to 19.3MPG before I got home. Keep in mind I have the 32 gallon tank. I filled up with 91 octane as well (but this is at the Ambassador Bridge where the gas is known to be of "less quality". I always put in 91 there which is probably equal to 89 anywhere else

If you look at his speedo, the KPH is bolded, so it's 110 kph (68 mph). What I don't know is, for Canadian Rams, is the Fuel Economy display showing imperial MPG or our (American) version of it?

I have always been happy with the 17.4 MPG that my '09 HEMI gets on the highway
my truck weighed 5,300 pounds empty when i purchase it
with all my tools, added nerf bars & me in the seat, it weighs 6300 pounds, without any gas in the 30 gallon auxiliary tank, i took it to a Public weigh station to find that out

i only get 15.4 MPG when i raise my sign,

I drive 120 miles a day, and only get 13.8 mpg. But I didn't buy my truck for the fuel economy.

The evic uses US calculations for the MPG. I have a 2008 Avenger with a 2.7l v6 and this past weekend I got 6.6l/100 or 35.4 mpg on close to a 600 km run of mixed driving and 109 kmph when on cruise control on the 401.

I put my numbers in US MPG and miles for comparison. The speedo is metric. The EVIC uses US gallons to calculate MPG.

Very happy with the mileage now that the weather has warmed up.

Those are good numbers. Overall, I'm happy with my mileage as well. I took a 200-mile round trip today. Averaged 17.5 there with a slight headwind and 20-21 on the way back with a slight tailwind...even stayed in ECO mode most of the trip back . 18.5 MPG average for the trip while doing 70 mph (3.55 gears). I can't complain.

That's very believable. I've gotten 19.8 mpg on a tank, once. hehe
