Default Bakflip VP questions

I have an Access soft tonneau on my current Honda Ridgeline. It's been ok but the fluttering and noise at higher speeds drives me crazy.

I'm looking at the Bakflip VP for my new Outdoorsman CC short bed when it arrives. Is the vinyl covering loose or is it glued to the panels? Has anyone had any noise or rattling issues with the VP?

I'm also looking at the Tonnopro hard cover. I's $100 less, but I wonder about the long term durability compared to the VP.

I would appreciate any experiences with either cover.

I'm thinking about getting this too since I like bakflip and the vp doesn't require drains in the bed. From what I saw in my searches the vinyl is attached to the panels.

I just installed my VP on Thursday and has no fluttering noises on freeway driving this weekend. Its a pretty solid cover and installed in about 30 min. Got it thru AutoAnything.com for $670 shipped to my door

How water tight is it without the drains like the other bakflip covers? Thats a great price, maybe I should order it today.

I have not had it long enough for it to rain yet but its not 100% sealed, it think it'll do the job for me though. the drain hoses I cut short and tucked them into the holes just below the stake pockets.

I was under the impression that there were no drains on the VP per the video on their website. That's the reason I am looking at the VP over the G2

There are two drain hoses included with the BakFlip VP cover. But, it states in the instructions that you do not have to use them.

I bought my VP about a week ago, but haven't been able to put it on yet because I don't have my truck.

Awesome, Thanks. I actually like the look of the G2 better but I hate the drain hoses. I don't want to cut a hole in my drop in liner or bed rug to run a drain through, I'd rather it just be weather proof to begin with.

The vinyl is stuck tight....I've gone thru a drive thru high pressure wash and only had a couple drops of water made it thru.
